2010 has been a milestone year for Tuning The Air! Come celebrate the completion of our 2010 season with us. This will be the last chance to experience this great new music until we return in February of 2011.

This year featured the debut of new music director Chris Gibson, who took us deeper into the world of improvisation and “spontaneous composition”. We have also seen a number of new pieces of music, including King Crimson’s Vrooom, a haunting version of Neptune from Gustav Holst’s “The Planets”, a new scorcher from Bob Williams Ninth Guitar E and perhaps even a few more surprises before closing night!

In addition to new music, we’ve continued to work with electric guitarist and texturist Joel Palmer and oboist Darlene Franz. Both have contributed astounding new textures and layers to our repertoire and improvisations.

And that’s not all! To help fight off the winter chill, Fremont Abbey will have their cafe open downstairs from 7:00pm until 7:45. Hot coffee, tea, and delicious homemade chai will be available to warm your insides before coming up for the show.

Be seeing you there!
